The CAT Range of Black Anodised Stair Nosings offers architects and designers an innovative & contemporary alternative to traditional aluminium & brass.
High-Quality anodising hardens the surface of the product creating a durable scratch-resistant surface finish. After rigorous testing CAT introduced this finish to a selection of stair nosing profiles. The result is a range of stylish yet functional stair nosings helping designers create interesting and original designs within their interior spaces.
The majority of the range consists of single-channel nosings that require a choice of coloured infill. For an all-black finish pair the black anodised channel with a black ATI (aluminium tread insert) or a black castellated PVC insert. To add definition CAT offer 19 unique coloured PVC inserts such as Jade, Yellow, Poppy & Polar Grey. Please see the individual products for a full list of available inserts.
Black anodised nosings with metal treads are suited to stairs with low to medium traffic volumes. Please note that heavy foot traffic and careless goods handling can wear through the surface and reveal the natural aluminium colour beneath. For more heavily trafficked stairs use nosings with CAT's castellated PVC infill for a longer-lasting black finish.
