FAQs

What size ramp do I need?

The difference in floor level will dictate what size or height of ramp you will require. Simply measure this difference from the lower floor to the higher floor. If the difference in floor height is 10mm then our AR10 will accommodate this difference. On each of our products CAT have attached a profile illustration with accurate measurements to help guide you when selecting the correct ramp for your situation.

What is the difference between a flooring ramp and a feather edge?

Flooring Ramps and Feather Edge Ramps effectively solve the same problem of one floor being higher than the other and removing any trip hazard. Feather edges generally directly adjoin or butt up to the floor covering and are between 2.5mm and 5mm thick. A flooring ramp or threshold ramp however tends to be fixed over the top of the floor covering and can accommodate small 3mm differences to large 20mm height changes.
