Solid Brass Stair Nosing
Solid Brass Stair Nosing's provide a stylish alternative to aluminium nosings. Typical installations include theatres, museums, public houses and listed buildings where traditional design is specified.
Polished brass has historically been the finish of choice though antique brass and antique bronze are becoming increasingly popular.
The antique nosings create a subtle aged effect that pairs perfectly with period decor . Satin brass is a relatively new finish for this profile range and offers a softer, matt finish without the high level of reflectiveness that polished brass can create.
CAT Solid Brass Stair Nosing
CAT has been manufacturing these one piece stair nosings for over 35 years. The nosings are extruded from brass in a range of designs before being hand finished in our UK based factory. These nosings are available in our four signature brass finishes including polished brass, satin brass, antique brass and antique bronze.
Nosings can be ordered pre-drilled and countersunk for mechanical fixings or undrilled for adhesive fixing. CAT also offer a cutting service to reduce time on site. Please call our customer service team on 01582 561500 if you have any questions.

Are your Brass Stair Nosings Slip Resistant?
All our stair edgings are independently tested for slip resistance (SRV's) using the pendulum 4S method. This test provides a PTV rating with any figure over 36 categorised as low slip potential. In the wet, our ribbed brass nosings pass this test with a PTV of 45 and dry pass with a PTV of 73.
